I have been up until today. My Christmas tree went back in it's big box today!:)
I know, it's been a really long time since I last posted.:) I guess I'll use the excuse that everyone else does...I've been busy!:D lol I spent last week wrapping gifts, baking cookies with a friend (I ruined our fist batch of fudge. It was over cooked. It looked like sand and had rock hard clumps in it. I failed the no fail fudge. I really didn't know you could do that!), and finishing up the scrapbook I made for my cousin Mckenzie. Lydia and I spent the eve of Christmas Eve night wrapping presents, watching "I Love Lucy" and listening to "Jingle bell Rock" and "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree" while we ate the homemade fudge that we had made that morning. We had a great time!
We went to my Meamaw and Papaw's house and went to our families annual Christmas party. It was really fun. We really enjoyed being with Meamaw and Papa and having our Christmas with them. I got the third season of "I Love Lucy"! I absolutely love that show!:) Thank-you so much for having us! We had a really good time!:)
We always spend Christmas day at home and we had a great first Christmas in our new house. I got an I-Flex, something that I've really wanted! It is a contraption that hooks on your door and it has a strap that you put one of your feet while you pull the other end of the strap causing your leg to rise and your muscles to stretch and you become more flexible. I really am excited about it. Boy was I sore the day after Christmas from using it!:)
The day after Christmas we went to my BooBoo and Pa's house and had our annual Cousin Production play. It was interesting...as usual!:) We had a really good time together. I got a new camera, my old one didn't take very good pictures anymore and it was just about to fall apart! I've been having fun with it.
McKenzie handmade Pajamas for me for Christmas. The shirt has my initials embroidered on it. They are so cute and so comfy! Thanks McKenzie!:)
I hope that all of you had a good Christmas! We're having a New Year's Eve party here tomorrow and I spent this afternoon baking two layers of Chocolate cake and two layers of yellow cake and I'm going to put them together to make a four layer cake. I really hope that it doesn't topple over. That would be so sad after all the work that I have put into it!:(
What are your plans for New Years Eve? I spent last year stretching on my living room floor, watching "That's Entertainment!" and eating overly salted Chex Mix. It was really relaxing!:)
So I hope that you've been rocking around the Christmas tree and are ready to ring in the New Year tomorrow night!:)
I pray that the Lord blesses you in 2010. Maybe I'll post at midnight......:)

"What 'They' Say"
What is Christmas you may ask?
A time for all mankind to bask,
In the glow of the hearth, in the wealth of the land,
And celebrate God coming as a man, who saved us with His righteous right hand.
But whose name we aren't allowed to say
Because the person in line next to us may
Find it offending, might find it wrong,
To sing that classic Christmas song.
Why in today's world you can't even say
"Merry Christmas" it's "Have a Happy Holiday!"
But how dare you not obey,
What they have told us all to say!
'They' say it's time for the holidays,
Time to wonder where the family will stay,
Time to organize the guest list,
And deck the halls,
And get the recipe for that great cheese ball,
Oh, and make sure you get up early to hit the sales at the crowded mall!
'They' say it's time for the holidays,
Time to grab the tape and the shears,
And the wrapping paper that you've had for years.
Time to turn on the radio and listen to Bing,
While the phone downstairs starts to loudly ring.
'They say it's time for the Holidays,
Time to wear the sweater with the reindeer,
And see the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Caviler,
Dance through the land of sweets,
Wile you congratulate yourself on finding such good seats.
'They' say it's time for the Holidays,
Time to find the earrings that match your heels,
And listen to your kid's excited peals,
As you settle down nest to the tree,
And for a moment sit back and let your mind go free
To think about the true meaning of this special day,
For love is what 'they' say,
Will be the answer to all our troubles,
But there is news that will pop their bubble.
For no matter what 'they' say,
My Lord Jesus Christ was born on that day,
And no matter what they try to stop,
They cannot make any of us drop,
The name of Christ for the "mas",
For even if they think we're crass,
His word alone is our judge,
So from God's own will we should not budge.
For peace comes from God,
Not that brand new platinum Apple iPod.
So even if 'they' say,
"Have a Happy Holiday"
"Merry Christmas!" loud and clear,
Is what I really want to hear.
For Away in the Manger,
On that Silent Night,
A whole host of angels,
Made a spectacular sight.
And the arrival of the First Noel,
Was the blessed baby Emmanuel.
His coming set the sky a bright,
With a shower of magnificent holy light.
For on that great day the Child was born,
And Israel no longer had need to mourn.
For He cam to save His people,
And from every tall, white, stately steeple,
We shall hear the bells on Christmas day,
No matter what 'they' might try to say!
Merry Christmas to you all! And a happy New Year to all of you out there in Blog world! From my little seat, at my little desk I'm sending well wishes to my readers from all over the world. May Christ bless you this season.

I Have a Phobia
I have a phobia.
I don't like clowns. I hate it when people in great big character costumes try to come near me. I still don't like Chucky Cheese. When I was ten I dodged around the resturant trying to get away from him. I didn't climb under the table but I believe I thought that it would be a safe haven....
Does anyone have this problem? I would greatly appreciate knowing that I'm not the only one.

I Elfed Myself!
I Elfed Lydia, Lily Kate, and myself! This really cracks me up! They have several other dances (square dancing, disco,and the classic) and even this one that sings. But I just really thought that this was hilarious!:D

Christmas Pictures
Here are some pictures that we took for our Christmas card. Which on do you think is best? I was just being silly about the Santa hats. I just couldn't resist adding them when I was editing.:) That one's not going into the Christmas cards!:D Some times the pictures might not appear very sharp so you can click on them to get a bigger picture.

They Announced It!!!
Sherwood announced their new movie today! I kept checking about everyday for the past two weeks for the video clues they posted. Lydia and I checked about four times today waiting for them to announce it. :) They finally have! It's called "Courageous" and it focuses on the role of the father in the family. For some reason I thought that it might be about a girl this time but I was wrong.:) I was a little surprised that the title didn't start with an "f" like all the others but I think that it will be great! I'm very excited! Check out the video of the Kendrick brothers discussing the theme. http://www.corageousthemovie.com
I wonder when I will be released?

Fa,La,La,La,La
It seems a little early to start playing Christmas music. But that's what we're doing! I don't feel like I can listen to Christmas Carols until Thanksgiving. I have great memories of setting the table for thanksgiving and singing "Sleigh Ride" (my favorite Christmas Song) as I set out the plates and silverware.
Lydia has been playing one of our Christmas CD's in the kitchen while she does dishes that has "Deck the Halls" on it. Every time the choir sings the chorus "Fa,la,la,la,la!" Levi joins in even though you can tell he's day dreaming. I guess he does it subconsciously. ;P
I better go on my daily check of all the blogs I look at before I leave for ballet!

One Great Person Said...
"Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence."
~Abigail Adams
I seek after a lot of things. A perfect split, a kitchen that stays clean for at least a few hours, a morning where I actually get out of bed when my alarm goes off, a good test score, muffins that actually rise when baked, and a picture that has the "cool look".
I try to attend to everything with diligence. Whether it be pounding away at the piano every morning and not sounding much better (although I have to say I've seen a little improvement. Although my family might not agree!;), or biting my tongue so I won't say something I will regret.
Speaking of biting my tongue, have you ever wanted to completely bite it off you're so mad? I haven't had one of those instances in a few weeks but I've really tried to work on patience lately. Letting it go is hard for me! Especially when the person doesn't give a wit as to how their actions affect yours! I guess patience is what I need to focus on. It seems whenever I make a point to work on a particular character trait in myself, I feel bombarded with situations that cause me trouble. Temptations seem to fly. But I'm trying to use every problem in a good way. This is what I mean,
"Every experience God gives us, every person he puts in our lives is the perfect position for the future that only He can see."
~Corrie Ten Boom
"Do not look to your hope, but to Christ the source of your hope."

My Bad Habits
I have bad habits. I don't really know anyone who doesn't. Would you like me to share what they are?
I leave things lying around. My shoes on the dryer, my towel on the back of a chair, and my ballet bag in the kitchen.
I love sugar
I loose bobby and and hair pins and a lot of other things. :)
I don't always have my wallet in perfect order.
I cut don't cut my finger nails very often.
I am absent minded.
And I play the same songs over and over again. Lydia would probably call that a bad habit. :)
Just thought I'd share! What are your bad habits?

Natural Law
One of my subjects this year is Logic. Kinda odd but it's been my favorite so far. I'm reading Richard Mayberry's "Whatever Happened to Justice?". This really challenges my mind in terms of what I've always thought. I read "Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?" last year for economics and loved it but I think I like this one even better. I've learned so much from it.
According to him the basis of all law is set on two principles known as "The Natural Law". He states that you can ask just about any adult in America what Natural Law is and they won't know much if anything about it. So far only one person I've asked knew anything about it.
Here they are,
1) All men are created equal and
2) Do not encroach on another man's rights.
Those are the two laws that apply to every religion on earth. Mayburry states that America was the only country built on those two laws in the history of mankind except maybe Switzerland. Once America was not just a place it was an idea. Americans were honest and hard working. They obeyed those two laws. They were moral. Today we are taught that morals are more of an opinion. Today's kids are not growing up immoral their growing up amoral. And statistics show that whenever the Natural Law is followed society flourishes but when people do not have their God-given rights civilization moves backward.
Natural Law was followed in America up until the 1970's. Before that time parents would say that they thought their children would have a better life than they had but during the 70's polls began to show the opposite. America does not have the good standing that it used to. Are we as honest? Are we as free? What is America heading for? At the rate we're going will it contiue to be the "City on a Hill"? Think about it. Are we following the Natural Law? Does our government follow the natural law?

A Link in The Chain
A Christian prisoner in Cuba was asked to sign a statement containing charges against fellow christians that would lead to their arrests. He said:
"The Chain keeps me from signing this."
The Communist officer protested, "But you are not in chains!"
"I am," said the Christian. "I am bound by the chain of witnesses who throughout the centuries gave their lives for Jesus Christ. I am a link in that chain. I will not break it."
~~~~
"Through thick and thin, keep your heart at attention, in adoration before Christ, your master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who askes why your living the way you are."
Peter The Apostle
Martyred in Rome, 65 A.D.
I read this story in dc Talks's book "Jesus Freaks" and I really thought it was neat.
We are a link in that chain. We are chained to the anchor of Christ who will mold us into links that are stronger than steel.
I Didn't Get Suckered
We went to a fair today. It was a lot of fun but so cold! My favorite exhibit was the photography. So many different subjects and style, some beautiful-and some not. :)
One of my favorite things about a fair is the smells of all the food. And you know the food that smells the best is of coarse the fried ones.
Corn Dogs, fried onion rings, and of course...Funnel Cake! :)
Everything was incredibly overpriced. I mean $5 for funnel cake?
So you know what?
I didn't get suckered into buying anything! I was happy about that. lol ;)
But I enjoyed just seeing all the sights of the fair. The lamas that desperately need braces (haha), the massive horses, diary cows, huge, fluffy rabbits, and the donkeys.
After we left one exhibit we watched some of a youth variety show. There was a tap dancer that danced to 1920's music that I enjoyed watching and a girl who sang the song "I Hope You Dance".
There was a christian music group there that I didn't really care for. They sort of yelled the words out instead of singing them.
We had a fun day and it was actually the first time I've been outside and have been cold since April!
I had a good time and I'm happy that I didn't get suckered into buying anything!
Zucchini Bread... What Have I Done?
I love zucchini bread. I make it all the time. The muffins are especially good when they've been in the freezer and the chocolate chips have started to harden. I guess I just have weird taste buds. ;)
I have a habit of not remembering all the ingredients. I've been known to end up with muffins that are thin and a little mushy. That's what happened tonight. I don't do that very often and really I'm good at baking-you can ask my family!:)
And so I end up with twenty-four thin muffins instead of the thirty or so nice and tall ones.
I hate it when that happens!:)
But oh well at least I don't have to take them anywhere. I'm always nervous when I bake to take to a party or something. One time we took a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting to a party and the baking soda wasn't mixed in all the way. Bitter, very bitter tasting!
I guess I didn't add enough flour.
I'll try to remember next time!:)
My Muscles Won't Do What I Say
I'm Irritated
I've been stretching a lot in the last month.
The more I stretch the more my muscles seem to tighten up.
I have been doing a lot of stretching this week and it just seems like my muscles are tighter than before. Part of the reason is because the leg that I hurt this summer gets sore when I do a lot of strenuous movement. I've been working really hard at getting my straddle split. But it just doesn't seem to be happening. Should I keep on doing all my exercises regularly or should I give my muscles a break? I'd appreciate a opinion.
Thought I'd vent my frustration a little!
"You Don't Think She's Mine Do You?!"
I've had an issue since Lily Kate has been born.
Whenever I hold her out in public I get looks.
You know what I mean, the looks that plainly show that they wonder what in the world I'm doing with her.
People look at me very questioningly.
And it makes me uncomfortable. It makes me not want to hold her in public. It makes me self conscious.
I've even had a women ask...how nosy can you get? :D
I was at a cosmetics store with my mom, Levi, and Lily Kate. I was holding Levi's hand and Mama was holding Lily Kate in her car seat. This really "put together" sales lady with super high heels and immaculate make-up was showing us different powders and all the "deals" you could get and when she finished she asked, "So who's babies are these?"
That's pretty pointed.
"Well..They're actually all mine!" my mom replied with a laugh.
I thought I should have said, "Well whose babies do you think they are nosy?" But I figured that wasn't exactly the way to win friends and influence people and was definitely not Christ-like! :) But I would have loved to see the look on her face!:D
How nosy can you possibly be? :)
I want a T-shirt that says in big capital letters "I'M NOT HER MOM I'M HER BIG SISTER!" printed on the front and back of the shirt.
But I'm trying to learn not to care what people think when they see Lily Kate ,and me together. Because, after all, I can't please everybody and I shouldn't try to. I don't like being looked at and I don't like being asked questions like that but does it really matter what they think? There's always going to be someone looking at me the wrong way. And if I get irritated by it I'm a pretty sensitive person! :)
I've found it's not easy being fourteen years older than my little sister. It's not easy holding her in public when my mom's checking out. But I'm trying to learn not to be disturbed by what people think of me when they see us together. I don't have any reason to be. The Lord knows my heart and that's just about all that really matters.
But boy is it irritating! ;)
Remember my post that had the quote, "A person with inner dignity is never embarrassed"? I'm working on that inner dignity!:P
I thought I should have said, "Well whose babies do you think they are nosy?" But I figured that wasn't exactly the way to win friends and influence people and was definitely not Christ-like! :) But I would have loved to see the look on her face!:D
How nosy can you possibly be? :)
I want a T-shirt that says in big capital letters "I'M NOT HER MOM I'M HER BIG SISTER!" printed on the front and back of the shirt.
But I'm trying to learn not to care what people think when they see Lily Kate ,and me together. Because, after all, I can't please everybody and I shouldn't try to. I don't like being looked at and I don't like being asked questions like that but does it really matter what they think? There's always going to be someone looking at me the wrong way. And if I get irritated by it I'm a pretty sensitive person! :)
I've found it's not easy being fourteen years older than my little sister. It's not easy holding her in public when my mom's checking out. But I'm trying to learn not to be disturbed by what people think of me when they see us together. I don't have any reason to be. The Lord knows my heart and that's just about all that really matters.
But boy is it irritating! ;)
Remember my post that had the quote, "A person with inner dignity is never embarrassed"? I'm working on that inner dignity!:P
From one SISTER,
Abigail~
The Untitled Hymn
One of my favorite songs. I love these words, there is so much beauty in these lines. I like several of Chris Rice's pieces. Especially "Lemonade"!
Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!
Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!
And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!
Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!
O, and when the love spills over
And the music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!
And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!
Yesterday I began class at my new ballet school. I was very nervous and excited as I put my hair into a bun and got my clothes and bag together. I was anxious to know what this new experience would be like. :) I thought of that quote that I like that talked about trying new things, let me see if I can remember all of it:
"Do not be to afraid or to squeamish about your actions. All Life is an Experiment. The more experiments you do the better."
Life is An Experiment. This was a Experiment. ;)
I walked into a room swarming with teenage girls and above the sound of their voices I heard the teacher, who I had met at registration, call out to everyone that it was time to begin class. I grabbed my shoes and found a place at the barre. I have always been in a rather small class, twelve was the most I had ever had, so fifteen or sixteen girls seemed like a lot to me.
I enjoyed the combinations at the barre and it felt so good to be doing all the familiar steps again. I was glad I had been taught the french terms (thanks to my teacher when I was ten) and all the meanings of the words because she used them a lot. I really liked my teacher and all the girls that I talked with were very friendly. The class went well and I'm really looking forward to my next class!
I have been looking forward to it/dreading it for a month or more. I didn't have a clue what the studio would be like, what the teacher would be like, what my classmates would be like, or what the training would be like. I prayed a lot about it and I prayed that I would be happy and content there. You know what? I am happy and with time it will become a studio that I love. I'll always love my old studio the best because all my friends are there but I am happy. The Experiment was succesful.
Crunches Competition
My mom, aunt, sister, cousin, and myself had a crunches competition. The most I've ever done was 100. I tried very hard and did 700! I was very surprised I even got to 300. To a lot of people that doesn't seem like much I hate doing crunches so that was good for my body. My stomachs going to be sore tomorrow!:)
Well anyway Happy Labor Day!
We're going to see my grandparents who we haven't seen for a long time. We are very excited! We've always lived near them but since our move we live much farther away. So we miss seeing them as often as we used to.
The months that my dad was working in our new town and we were waiting for our house to sell so we could move to our new house was very hard. But the very best part of that time was Tuesday nights when Meamaw came. She brought supper and Caramel brownies which we all loved! It was always so much fun to come home on Tuesday nights after ballet and visit with her and eat dessert. :) It felt so good to sit down on the coach and talk because I was always really tired. Thank-you so much for doing that Meamaw! It was so much fun when you came each week. We can't wait to see you! Tell PawPaw I said hello!
What A Character
Don't ask me what he's saying, I'm not sure myself. :)
Levi and I enjoyed shopping at Ross with Mama today. My favorite parts happen to be the decorating, dishes, and picture frames section. I pushed him in his stroller up and down the rows of pretty things and we enjoyed ourselves. Levi really liked the cute decorative airplanes and then the candles and kept saying "I want to smell that one!". He put a silly wooden carving with eyes and a nose in front of his face and he thought that it was very funny. He laughed at himself when he saw his reflection in all the huge mirrors and every time we past one he would say, "There's Levi!" or "There's Abigail!". I love toddler hood despite the "terrible two's"!
Split
It's been three years since I first started working on my splits. I'm an extremly unflexible person, it took a lot of work to be able to put my whole palms on the floor when I would bend over to touch my toes, but I have worked really hard on improving my flexibility and it's finally paid off! I can do the splits...well at least on the right side anyway (I'm still working on that;)
I'll post some more pictures of when I was really far off the floor but for now I'll just do the one. It doesn't look like I'm all the way down in the picture but there was a shadow. Not the best picture of me but I just wanted to share my joy. it's silly I know but I'm glad I'm finally down. ;P
Lily Katherine and Me~
Here's a picture of Lily Kate and me. I have some more but I want to fix the lighting on them and do some other stuff but I thought I would go ahead and post this one. She is so sweet! Every night when she gets a little fussy I like to rock her and sing to her. I think she likes songs where I sing high because she always gets really quiet. I have to sign off now!
Get Ready, Set, JUMP!
Yesterday when I was bored I went outside and took my camera to take some pictures. I thought it would be funny to take some pictures of us all jumping up in the air but Lydia and Gabe were still doing school so I didn't get any of them!:) I set my camera on 10 seconed and jumped up in the air when it was about to go off. I picked some of the decent ones. I got quite a few where I'm in mid air or just getting up in the air and vise versa. But I thought it would be something a little different to post about so here they are. There stupid but it was fun to take!;P
To a Very Sweet Girl on Her Birthday!
Today is Carrington's 10th Birthday! Why I have never thought to do a post on a family members birthday I don't know but I'm going to start doing it now. :) I hope you have a wonderful day Carrington and know that I've thought a lot about you today. You are one of my dearest and best friends. Even though we are five years apart I don't feel it at all! You are a very special girl and you are beautiful inside and out. You have so many talents and you are a joy to everyone around you. I don't know what I'd so without you! You are one of my dearest friends! I love you! Happy Birthday Sweet Preteen!
Abigail
Tra, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Happy Birthday Sweet Preteen!
Tra, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Happy Birthday Sweet Preteen!
Tonights the night,
I've waited for,
Because your not a baby anymore,
You've turned into the prettiest girl I've ever seen!
Happy Birthday Sweet Preteen!
What happend to that funny face?
My little boyish-girl now wear's satin and lace.
I can't believe my eyes your just a preteen dream!
Happy Birthday Sweet Preteen!
When you were only three I was your play mother,
When you were only six we didn't like each other,
When you were ten we were the best play mates ever!
But since you've grown up your future is sewn up,
From now on your going to mine,
So if I should smile with sweet suprise,
It's just that you've grown up before my very eyes,
You've turned into the prettiest girl I've ever seen!
Happy Birthday Sweet Preteen!
We changed some of the words to this song to fit Carrington. She always called a "tomboy" a "boyish-girl".
Happy Birthday Carrington!
We went shopping today. Mama, Levi, Lily Katherine, and Me (Abigail) went shopping to Hobby Lobby, Publix, and Old navy. It didn't seem to take us extremely long thankfully!;). Levi, at two has always rode in the stroller in the store or in the basket. He walked and I held his hand in Old Navy today which was a new experience for me and not one I think I particularly enjoy.....to be honest he never wants to be in one place more than a second. :) He was very happy with his freedom and took full advantage of it. ;) I kept up with him though! He was very sweet and got a lot of smiles from the employees, I'm awfully glad they weren't frowns. I love him.~
I'm seriously hooked on Marinated Vegetable Salad. It's weird. I'm not crazy about regular salad but this one I can't seem to get enough of. I have it every day. Here's the recipe,
1/2 cup Chopped onion
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 (I use a little less) vegetable oil
Combine vegetables and toss lightly
Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan, bring to a boil and stir. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Pour over vegetables and stir well. Cover and chill for 24 hours. Stir well before serving.
Lily Kate
Lily went to her check-up today and did wonderfully. She was nine pounds and twelve ounces. Every night when Mama is putting the boys to bed I hold her in my room and sing to her. She loves music. She looks up at me with her big dark blue eyes and looks so prescious! I love her dearly. I don't have any pictures of me and her uploaded on the computer yet but i hope to soon!
In the Garden
"I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses."
"And He walks with me,
And He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known."
I think that hymn is very sweet and it shows how tender God's love is for us. He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own. He is crazy about me. :D No one can experience that kind of joy apart from Him. I love the words to this song they leave me feeling very peaceful, relaxed, and at ease. That was my great grandpa's favorite. I like it too.~
My Reading List for June~
Here is a list of books I've read in the past month. What have you been reading?
"The Redemption of Sarah Cain" by Beverly Lewis
I have wanted to read this book every since I saw the movie and I'm very glad I did. The book is SO much better than the movie. They completely changed the story line. It was a very fun book to read and I was very happy with the ending. I didn't feel like the movie gave a definite finish at all. I really enjoyed it. I read it in only a few days I could hardly put it down!
"Violet's Defiant Daughter" by Martha Finley
I began this book and read the first four chapters last year but never finished it. I decided to read the rest of it so I could move on to the next book in the series that I was really wanting to start. I finished it in a day and I liked it a lot. It was very sweet at the end. I thought it was funny that Elsie Dinsmore is fifty in this book! I will always think of her as the little girl at Roselands. I'm glad she kept her in the story. Violet has always been one of my favorites, partly because she's my age and partly because she has the same color hair as me. I liked this story a lot and am starting on the next one now.
Ten Girls Who Didn't Give In by Irene Howat
This book covers the lives of ten girls who were martyred for their faith, Blandina, Perpetua, Lady Jane Grey, Anne Askew, Lysken Dirks, Marion Harvey, Margaret Wilson, Judith Weinberg, Betty Stam, and Esther John. I got this book from the library because it had a chapter about Margaret Wilson who I am trying to learn more about for Cousin Production's play about her this Christmas. I read the book in a day (It's pretty short) and I learned so much from it. I plan to read the other books in the series.
I'm Currently Reading
"My Utmost for His Highest" by Oswald Chambers
"Ten Boys Who Didn't Give" In by Irene Howat
"Violet's Foreign Intrigue" by Martha Finley
"The Redemption of Sarah Cain" by Beverly Lewis
This book covers the lives of ten girls who were martyred for their faith, Blandina, Perpetua, Lady Jane Grey, Anne Askew, Lysken Dirks, Marion Harvey, Margaret Wilson, Judith Weinberg, Betty Stam, and Esther John. I got this book from the library because it had a chapter about Margaret Wilson who I am trying to learn more about for Cousin Production's play about her this Christmas. I read the book in a day (It's pretty short) and I learned so much from it. I plan to read the other books in the series.
I'm Currently Reading
"My Utmost for His Highest" by Oswald Chambers
"Ten Boys Who Didn't Give" In by Irene Howat
"Violet's Foreign Intrigue" by Martha Finley
Little Levi... the shoe man
Levi is so funny, He will go into somebody's closet until, he finds the pair that makes Him happy! It doesn't matter if the match, are on the right feet, or are five sizes to big for him, as long as he has a pair of shoes of some sort, he is happy!
P.S. In this picture He has on my moms high heeled black boots! : )
