It was Interesting...

I baked cupcakes last night for the the boys to decorate today. Chocolate, vanilla, and lemon. I got a book from the library, Hello Cupcake!, and the boys loved the different ideas. They have many different themes and ideas and some of them were so incredible you wouldn't even think that they were food. It is defiantly geared for kids and Titus told me the book was fascinating. I don't remember Titus ever calling anything fascinating before...

I had quite the time making frosting. They all crowded around the mixer and laughed and laughed the whole time. They wanted different colors so we did white (vanilla), brown (chocolate, my favorite), green, blue, and yellow.
They helped me make it...

It was fun at first but then it got a little messy, the icing got a little messy. All in all Gabe was the only one of us that got more than one cupcake frosted. I put Levi down to watch a show after I caught him licking the icing off his decorating bag. Yeah, I wouldn't really want eat his...

There was a lot of dishes to do after that, lots of little pieces. The decorating tips, and the bags, and the little thing you use to pipe roses on. I'm glad I did it with them, they had fun and I had fun, but I don't think I'm going to attempt that again for a while!:)

After that we made valentines day cards...I liked that, no frosting to wipe up!:)

I'm glad its Friday...its my favorite day of the week.

Have a good weekend

Need a Buff?

I found this very interesting.

I love how words are pronounced and enunciated with different accents. I love the line in My Fair Lady when the Professor complains that the "Americans haven't spoken the English language in centuries." I've been trying to enunciate my words better. I get messy with my speech and I need a buff sometimes!:)

Punctuation

Levi and Titus sing this song together when they watch Elmo's World in the morning. As you can see Levi likes to add a little dance in with his!:P

Behind the Wheel...Oh Boy...

Two weekends ago I sat behind the wheel for the first time. Wow, I felt empowered, but I was a little intimidated! I had my own set of keys with my Dance key chain hanging from it. I was really nervous, but I learned how to shift gears, and that the gas peddle is incredibly powerful. I really just kept my foot on the brake the whole time. That was fine with me I was scared of the gas! Even if I only crept thirty feet in an empty parking lot, I drove! :D

You're Not Alone

I found this song really encouraging. It's by Merideth Andrews entitled "You're not Alone". I thought the words were very meaningful. Thank-you for the sweet comments about my grandma. Please continue to pray for her. :) I know she will be thank-ful for them. :)

With the Lord, your never alone.
"I will say of the Lord, you are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust."

"You're Not Alone"

I search for love, when the night came, and it closed in, I was alone, but you found me, where I was hiding, and now I'll never ever be same, it was the sweetest voice, that called my name sayin

You're not alone, For I am here, let me wipe away your every fear, My love I've never left your side, I have seen you through the darkest night, And I'm the one that who's loved you all your life, All of your life

You cry your self to sleep, cause the hurt is real, and the pain cuts deep, all hope seems lost, with heart ache your closest friend, and everyone else long gone, you've had to face the music on your own, but there is a sweeter song that calls you home, saying

You're not alone, For I am here, let me wipe away your every tear, My love I've never left your side, I have seen you through the darkest nights, And I'm the one who's love you all your life, All your life

Faithful and true... Forever, For my love will carry you...

You're not alone, for I... I am here, let me wipe away your every fear... Oh yeah, My love I've never left your side, I have seen you through your darkest night,

Your darkest nights, And I'm the one that's loved you all your life,
All of your life

Christ has loved you all your life~

My Grandma

I would really appreciate it if the readers of this blog would pray for BooBoo, my grandma. She has cronic gout and has had surgery this week in her hands. She has had a lot of pain in the last few days and I know that she would be very thankful for your prayers.

"He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust."
Psamls 91

"I lift my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven of earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber, Behold He who keeps Isreal will neither slumber nor sleep."
Psalms 121

Don't be so Vanilla

I've wanted to make a cake like this for a while now. Vanilla, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate cake. Lydia, my mom, and I took a cake decorating class last summer and we have more tools to work with now. The teacher wasn't very good, he always ended the class thirty minutes early and didn't teach us a whole lot but the kit that went along with the class was very helpful though. So even though I can't spin out a Wilton rose with my eyes close I learned the steps that go into making one.;)

I looked up "New Years Eve Cake" on google images and I found a picture of a cake with a clock in it and I loved it.

I tasted good too!

I adore chocolate but Gabe can't stand it. I really think it's strange. But with this cake we both got what we liked.

I hope that you all have a good Saturday!
Happy New Year!

I'm Fascinated

I really love to hear accents from around the world. I'm just fascinated by European, particularly English but also Irish and Scottish. I love to see videos of different accents and this one takes the cake. I love her take on the Irish accent, Brooklyn accent, and the Texas one is really great too! I can fake an English one but I don't know how good it is. I really have never been able to see if it's authentic or not. But anyway here's the video. Are any of you able to "put on" an accent other than the one from where you were born? I would love to hear it to see if mine's any good.
